Hi Elle, thank you for your comment. What a difficult question you ask. I have been a landscape and natural history photographer for a long time with very little interest in portraits and architecture but the recent arrival of grandchildren has changed the focus somewhat. I love the challenge of getting what I think is a good image but I need projects to give me the additional focus. For example, I made sure that I got a picture of my grandaughter doing something interesting every single month for a year. Then I made a calender and every month had a picture of her exactly one year earlier. The family loved it.
Another project was to do an audio visual using Vivaldi's the four seasons. It took a couple of years to get enough good pictures to illustrate all the seasons.
Short term challenges from magazines are good fun as well. Even if I don't always submit the results, and never win anything, they give great learning opportunities.
I just like taking pictures, I don't really know why, but I keep thinking of new reasons to get out there and try.
Enjoy your photography,
David.

David,
There's probably a setting somewhere which would alert me to a response to a comment made back in Sept. Those are ingenious projects. Do you have the Four Seasons posted online anywhere?
Yet another question. Do you mind if write up your idea on my blog? People are always looking for series inspiration. I would give you credit of course.
Now I am curious to see the video.
Thanks for your valued response.
Ruth
