OK so it's a bit soft but it's a Green Woodpecker ( not exactly the most co-operative subjects!) and I think it looks rather as though it is a painting, especially if you look at the larger image. As a real 'oldie' took it I say well done, safe in the knowledge that I'm even older Well done Bill

I am not going to come into age argument here except to say that it should not be used as an excuse. HA. Nice shot Bill, try a dark vignette around it, to draw the eye in, not to dark. Ernie

Hi Bill
I know only to well how difficult it is to even get in to range of one of these birds as I've been trying long enough but they are immediately aware long before you get close and are away into the trees.
Nice shot, but agree with Ernie in that he dos'nt stand out enough [ green bird on green background ] I woull try something to change or tone down the grass background.
Regards Peter.

Very nice, I agree with the comments made about trying to make him stand out a bit more, but it's a lovely shot.
Take care.

A cracking photo Bill. I've only seen one of these in my neck of the woods.
