Even though several technologies are introduced for digital photography.. the SLR cameras uses the film based imaging. Because film based imaging is the natural imaging technique and it results in good quality images, at proper necessary conditions.

Are there some SLR cameras that are digital?

I'm not very familiar with the type, but I was under the impression that SLR referred to the lens compatibilities.

Since my previous post, I've definitely seen the DSLRs online and advertised in flyers.

The cameras I've owned or even just taken shots with were more modest than those.

Speaking of film, does anyone here using the traditional SLR cameras process their own? I'd expect that the supplies required may be getting more pricey these days?

I used to keep processing my own B&W film as there are not many companies out there that do B&W, but my new printer prints B&W digital so well I have stopped using film at the moment, and the cost of processing now is much more than some online printing companies, so again Digital is starting to win me over!
Kind Regards

I actually shoot mostly traditional film gear now, both 35mm and medium format.

I think that we have hit a stage where " Good " Colour printers are giving remarkable results and finally getting their Ink costs to an affordable value for Processing to go out of the window really, and the time constraints too, along with the costs of the chemicals and dark room etc...

Just made it a lot easier now
